Founded in 2005 by Principal Maureen Rothman, Rothman Associates, Inc. was established to represent commercial hospitality furniture and lighting manufacturers to the design community within Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.  Our mission is to partner with well established manufacturers whose focus is on luxury as defined equally by utility and good design.  Each manufacturer we directly represent has excelled in achieving the proper balance between form and function and all are approved vendors for the major hotel holding corporations.

Our focus working with the architectural and interior design community is highly consultative.  We know our product lines and are an excellent resource for any products which we may not directly represent.  Our sales expertise is highlighted by direct involvement in all facets of a project as warranted from budget preparation to specification writing to completion.  We are a true manufacturers’ rep organization that does not provide any design, purchasing, dealer or installation services.

Our reputation is built upon providing exemplary service, responsive communication, prompt follow-up, and attention to detail.  Our presentations are lively and strictly geared to what will benefit you!  With a vast array of samples available, we can create the perfect “Show and Tell!” Based upon Maureen’s business expertise, she is well qualified to address the critical differences between the contract and hospitality markets.

Meet Our Team

Maureen Rothman is the Principal of Rothman Associates, Inc., an independent manufacturers’ rep group specializing in commercial hospitality furnishings and lighting. She is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and has done graduate work at Widener University. Her first career path provided several years of human resource management positions in various fields including banking, market research and commercial carpeting.

Maureen has been involved in commercial furniture sales for over 25 years. Formerly an office dealer sales representative, she specialized in contract furnishings for the office, educational, healthcare, and government markets. Finding herself lured to the world of hotels, multi-family, casinos, restaurants, senior living and country clubs, Maureen transitioned to the hospitality market working as the regional sales manager in the mid-Atlantic area for Shelby Williams Industries in 2003. With her employer in bankruptcy, in 2005 she ventured out on her own, establishing Rothman Associates Inc., and successfully manages multiple lines catering specifically to the architectural and interior design community who focus on the commercial hospitality market in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Maureen has been an active member of NEWH, Inc. and has held numerous Chapter Board positions including President and Executive Advisor.

Gracie officially became a partner in January 2012 at four months of age. In early 2013, Gladys joined the company. They are responsible for the daily retrieval, literally, of all local leads. Each morning they take turns and can be sited picking up The Times Herald from the bottom of the driveway and bringing it into the office for Maureen’s review. Both are very supportive of our sustainability efforts and spend several hours each month breaking down cardboard and packaging materials for recycling. According to Maureen, “Gracie & Gladys have been a blessing as they’ve quickly adapted to graciously meeting many interior designers and customers. Both of the Golden Girls continuously strive to put their best paws forward in representing Rothman Associates, Inc. and are available for sales calls upon request.” Additionally, Gracie is a registered Therapy Dog and makes weekly visits to several Senior Living properties.
